STACEY KANIHAN – Adjunct faculty, Page Legacy Scholar, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Stacey Frank Kanihan is director of research at Padilla Spear Beardsley Inc., a communications consulting firm in Minneapolis, Minn., and a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she teaches courses in public opinion and strategic communication. Her Page Center research focuses on the relationship between corporate social responsibility programs at Fortune 500 companies and the role of communication managers in the organization’s power structure. Her research interests also include examining media use and information seeking during political campaigns. She also worked at IBM in media relations and employee communications and was a newspaper reporter and editor in Massachusetts and Florida. She received her Ph.D. in communication from Stanford University, her master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida and her bachelor’s in English from Wellesley College.
