Her research interests include impression management in advertising and public relations communications and international political advertising. Her research has been published in a variety of journals, including Journalism Studies and the Journal of Political Marketing. Her background includes nearly 15 years of experience in the marketing communications industry, eight of them as president of her own marketing communications firm. She received the Outstanding Graduate Student Teacher Award from the College of Journalism and Communication at the University of Florida.
